Entreprise de Peinture et Décors Marc Bertholet et Fils

The origins of our family business go back to Marc’s father Josy Bertholet, who has already worked as a painter for Bettembourg in the Geier company. When Marc lost his father at the age of 14, he was determined to follow in his footsteps and learn the art of painting.

In 1970 he began his training at the Aloyse Durbach Painting Company and passed his journeyman’s and master’s examinations with excellence.

On August 18, 1980, only 10 years after Marc began his career as a painter, he founded his own company "Peinture et Décors Marc Bertholet" in Leudelange. The company started with one journeyman and more were added every year. Only one year after the company was founded, a larger house was purchased in Leudelange, where the family business still operates its workshops today.

In 1998 Marc’s eldest son Yves decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and his youngest son Jeff, five years later. Now the family business is complete.

At some point came the time to slowly get out of the business - the opportunity for the two motivated young people. Peinture et Décors Marc Bertholet" became the new "Peinture et Décors Marc Bertholet et fils S.à.r.l" in early 2013.

Under the direction of Marc’s two sons, work such as wallpapering, flooring and decoration work as well as construction work (e.g. facade work) are still offered. There are also many new techniques that Yves brought in through special educational programs. The Luxembourg family business was modernized and today consists of 12 journeymen and one master craftsman, all working hand in hand to meet the needs of their customers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our apprentices and journeymen and all our customers for whom we have worked and will continue to work, because otherwise we would not be where we are today.
