“I am afraid, that was the worst experience I had with an optical shop. The first impression was very good: I went in and asked about the price of transition lenses. Based on the Zeiss pricing book I was shown, I received an offer that, while 20 EUR more expensive than the same lenses in Germany, would still be more convenient to pick up, so I went with it. The quality of the glasses I received was fine, and I am satisfied with the first pair so far. However, a few weeks later, I received an offer on WhatsApp that I am entitled to receive a second pair of glasses half-price. Thus, I got the frames I was interested in and went to the shop to order the second pair. After getting measured, the seller told me that "a mistake was made the first time" and I received a very good price that cannot be repeated. Thus, I would now have to pay twice what I paid earlier, but with the 50% discount it would simply mean that I have to pay the same again. This time, I was not shown the pricing book and simply believe the seller. While this seemed fishy, I already bought a second pair of frames, and the first glasses were done well, so I decided to go with it. I was told that the glasses will be ready next week. Thus, when I saw an unanswered phone call from them five days later, I thought that they are ready and simply went to the shop to pick them up. To my surprise, I was told that "another pricing mistake was made," and they did not yet send my glasses, because they wanted to get a confirmation, that I would pay four times the price I originally expected, and twice as much as I agreed--nearly 2,5 times the price of the same lenses in Germany and in complete violation of EU consumer law. This time I was no longer willing to go through with it and requested my frames and the 100 EUR of advance back. I was told that it is not possible to give me the advance back in cash or via a card refund, and to send my bank details to their email address. I am yet to receive the advance back and will resort to chargeback if I will not receive it reasonably soon. At least I got my frames back, though with black marker marks on them. Thus, I would strongly advise against the shop.”
