“I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Dany for several reasons: 1- Using lesson time for personal errands: On multiple occasions, he used my paid lesson time to run private errands, such as stopping at a store to buy batteries. 2-Unprofessional personal comments: He repeatedly compared me to his ex, which I found uncomfortable and highly unprofessional. 3-Frequent cancellations: Lessons were often cancelled because he did not have a back-up car. Whenever his car needed repairs—which was quite often—the lesson was cancelled with little notice. 4-Issues continued even after I raised concerns: After I expressed my dissatisfaction, he apologised and acknowledged that using lesson time for personal errands and not informing me about making up the lost time was not acceptable. He reassured me that he would not charge me for time that wasn’t spent driving. I appreciated the apology, but despite this reassurance, the same issues continued. 5- Long personal calls during lessons: The final incident was when he spent around 25- 30 minutes on an “urgent call” while I waited in the parking lot. He promised to make up the lost time by offering a 2-hour lesson next time. During the next lesson, despite giving him the benefit of the doubt, he spent the entire session stationary in the parking lot discussing his personal life. I even turned on the engine twice to hint that we should start driving, but he turned it off and continued talking. That was effectively the last “lesson.” After this, I requested my learning certificate so I could switch driving schools. Even then, he did not answer my follow-up question about whether the screenshot he provided of my completed lessons would be sufficient for official documentation. I sent this message in July 2025—five months later, I still have no response. Thankfully, my new driving school confirmed the screenshot and invoice was sufficient, and I am finally progressing normally. They are professional, respectful, and maintain proper boundaries. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others not to choose Dany as a driving instructor.”
