Energy consulting for new buildings:

The client defines the project with the energy consultant. Using variants (orientation, glazing, technical installations, thermal envelope, geometry, dimensions, component quality), the best compromise is chosen. Only afterwards will the plans and the Energiepass for the building permit be produced.

Energy consulting for existing buildings:

The energy consultation includes a comprehensive analysis of your house and is an essential condition to benefit from state aid and subsidies during a renovation. The report (+/- 40 pages) includes detailed calculations on economic profitability.

Energiepass for building permit:

Preferably after energy consulting for new buildings, the Energiepass is calculated.

Energiepass "as-built":

Before building acceptance, the "as-built" Energiepass is calculated. Any differences between the Energiepass for the building permit and the as-built will be considered. The "as-built" Energiepass represents the building in its future operational state and is essential for subsidy applications.

Energiepass for existing buildings:

Luxembourg regulations concerning the energy performance of buildings classify properties into residential and functional buildings. There are Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for new and existing residential buildings, consumption-based (measured) EPCs for existing functional buildings, and needs-based (calculated) EPCs for new functional buildings. There are many cases where the certificate is mandatory and where energy requirements must be met, e.g., during a change of owner or tenant, modification, substantial transformation, extension, or for a new building.

Thermography and airtightness test:

Mandatory for all new buildings, the blower door test detects air infiltrations and effectively prevents condensation-related problems. Without an airtight envelope, high energy efficiency cannot be achieved.

Detailed calculation of thermal bridges:

For a passive house (A/A/A), detailed calculation is essential. The calculation can also be useful for low-energy houses (B/B/B) or for comprehensive energy renovations of existing buildings (with a view to an insulation class C, B, or A).
