Energy consulting for new buildings:

The customer defines the project with the energy consultant. Using variants (orientation, glazing, technical installations, thermal envelope, geometry, dimensions, quality of components), the best compromise is selected. Only then are the plans and Energiepass for the building permit drawn up.

Energy consulting for existing buildings:

Energy consulting includes a complete analysis of your home, and is a prerequisite for benefiting from government grants and subsidies when renovating. The report (+/- 40 pages) includes detailed cost-benefit calculations.

Energiepass for building permit:

Preferably after an energy consultancy for new buildings, the Energiepass is calculated.

Energiepass "as-built":

The Energiepass "as-built" is calculated before acceptance of the building. Any differences between the Energiepass for building permits and as-built will be taken into account. The Energiepass "as-built" represents the building in its future state of use and is indispensable for subsidy applications.

Energiepass for existing buildings:

Luxembourg's regulations on the energy performance of buildings classify buildings into residential and functional buildings. There are energy performance certificates (CPE) for new and existing housing, CPE based on consumption (measured) for existing functional buildings and CPE based on needs (calculated) for new functional buildings. There are a multitude of cases where the passport is mandatory and where energy requirements have to be met, e.g. when changing ownership or tenancy, making alterations, substantial conversions, extensions or new buildings.

Thermography and tightness test:

Mandatory for all new buildings, the blowerdoor test detects air infiltration and effectively prevents condensation-related problems. Without a tight envelope, high energy efficiency cannot be achieved.

Detailed calculation of thermal bridges:

For a passive house (A/A/A), a detailed calculation is essential. The calculation can also be of interest for low-energy houses (B/B/B) or for comprehensive energy renovations of existing buildings (with a view to achieving insulation class C, B or A).
