I am extremely disappointed with this company’s billing practices and lack of professionalism. I hired them for a very simple plumbing task: replacing a shower mixer cartridge. I had already diagnosed the issue and purchased the correct part myself. The actual task should have taken or more than 15 minutes, according to tutorials and standard practice. Despite this, I was billed for 1 hour, and the technician (while very nice) spent time redoing minor steps that were unnecessary. Key fees — including travel time and billing increments — were not disclosed prior to the intervention. When I raised concerns about the inaccurate time billing and undisclosed charges, the company refused to correct the invoice, denied any fault, and described a partial reduction (travel but not billing) as a “goodwill gesture.” After disputing the invoice, I was informed that they would no longer provide services to me. This feels retaliatory and demonstrates disrespect and a disregard for consumer rights. Not sure their billing practices are not in line with Luxembourg consumer transparency obligations.
Patty Two times they promised to send technician to check a problem. Both times nobody came. Several times their 24/7 depannage number does not answer at all.
Pelle Hermanni Very bad experience with this company. Last winter our heating system was not working and would turn off, showing a code for the disfunction. I called them a first time, they came, spent 30 min, changed a valve and told me it was fixed. Less then 20min after they left, the problem reappeared. Same code, same outcome (heating system could not turned on). I called them again, they came after a few days, spent 30 minutes. The technician did not change anything this time and told me it was fixed. Between the first and second time, we spent 9 days without hot water. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids. At this point, I decided to call another company (Gabbana). They came, they explained to me what the problem was and fixed it. What they told me had nothing to do with the problems identified by Soclair (which never fixed the machine). Gabbana charged me half than each of Soclair´s visits. The heating system has been working since. I promised myself that I would not pay Soclair´s bills but after several calls to their offices and emails, in which they basically keep repeating nonsense excuses, and receiving their third reminder with the threat to go to curt, i decided to move on and pay... very bad experience
Rosario Di Maggio Extremely poor customer service - stay away Very arrogant attitude, flat out refused to provide an English speaking employee, which created a mess. They send at home somebody, who confirmed what I already told them by phone. This person stayed at my flat for 2 min and I received an invoice of Eur 118. Send several emails complaining (in English), with a couple of answers provided only in French, which included some irrelevant comments/excuses. Nobody cared to give me a call and try to understand the situation, just excuses after escuses (and lies) over an email. Overall, extremely poor service!
Georgi Gyoshev Miserable service - avoid! Based on past and current experiences, Soclair provides a miserable service to clients (even though they installed the equipment). Response to written requests is surely not this company’s strength. Quite arrogant attitude. Best case, with abundant advance notice, they would send an unskilled person, more likely two, spending a couple of hours on the spot, without properly addressing the issue but invoicing at full price what is a consistently poor service. Avoid!
