In 1957 the textile cleaning company was founded as a family business by Nikolaus and Maria Theissen.
In 1979 Klaus and Karin Theissen took over the management of the textile cleaning Edelweiss.
We are a very environmentally conscious textile cleaning company. Our textile cleaning guarantees hygiene and cleanliness and protects the environment.
The textile cleaning machines in use work with the biodegradable cleaning agent KWL. KWL is mainly used to clean elaborately processed garments. More than 99.8 percent of KWL is recycled. For one kilogram of outerwear we need 0.7 litres of water, 8 grams of cleaning agent and 0.54 kwh of energy.
In the field of wet cleaning, we are at the cutting edge of technology. Wet cleaning is a particularly gentle process. This means that even materials that cannot otherwise be washed themselves can be treated in water. This has been made possible by modern wet cleaning machines whose work processes are precisely controlled. In addition, fibre protection agents specially developed for textile cleaning are used for further protection.
In modern wet cleaning machines, water consumption is very low. The sparingly used wet cleaning agents are of course biodegradable.
We train and educate employees for the textile cleaning industry in various countries, e.g. Belgium - Germany - France - Holland - Luxembourg - Switzerland.
