In 1977, Guillaume Schott acquired an existing marble factory in Mamer.
There he developed his family business, which at the time was almost entirely devoted to the creation of funeral monuments.


Some twenty years later, and also with a master's degree in marble, Carlo Schott, Guillaume's son, took over the company's management, alongside his father.


The idea of developing further then germinated in the minds of these two craftsmen who were passionate about working with natural stone.



After careful consideration, it was in 2006 that the Schott marble factory moved to new, larger, better adapted and better located premises in Ellange/Mondorf.


The company then tripled its workforce and invested in a complete fleet of new, state-of-the-art machines.
This move therefore heralds the strategic shift taken by the company.


Indeed, it is from this date that the Schott marble factory chose to reposition its activity to become a major player in the building industry.



The construction or renovation of houses and the restoration of historical monuments are now the pillars of the Schott marble factory, which has enabled it to expand its activity beyond the Grand Ducal borders.



The marble factory, which now has 12 skilled workers, including 2 master marble workers, is one of the companies authorized to train apprentices, a guarantee of its true know-how.



Affiliated with the Chamber of Crafts and the Federation of Craftsmen, Schott Marble is also a member of the Federation of Master Marble Masons, Sculptors and Stonemasons of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and of the European Association of Building Crafts and Design.
