We bought our house in 2022, where a bedroom was added. The flat roof of this room was built in 2019 by "De klengen Daachdecker" and has two flat Velux windows. In 2023, water leaked through the roof into our bedroom. Since the defective roof is still under warranty, we tried to contact the company. The company was very difficult to reach, as all emails were ignored and no one answered the phone. Eventually, a craftsman was sent to us. The craftsman only repaired the water inlet source at the windows but did not check the roof itself to see if there was still water inside. The company refused to open the roof itself and check if water had accumulated in the roof. Generally, "Der kleine Dachdecker" was very unfriendly and uncooperative on the phone. We turned to another company. This company checked the roof, where water had indeed accumulated. We were told that the waterproofing was wet and had to be completely replaced. So we contacted "den klengen Dachdecker" again, who continued to ignore us. Through the insurance and the ULC (consumer protection), two different experts came to us to assess the damage. Both told us that the flat roof had been built defectively in several places. "Der klengen Daachdecker" also did not respond to the ULC's letter. Since we were slowly fed up, we decided to have the roof repaired by the other company.
